Strange is normal. Reality is what you make it.

These are the slogans that US film distributor Reality Entertainment / Reality Films use in their marketing. These lines describe Reality Films' documentaries somewhat perfectly: you notice very quickly that these are not your normal History Channel stuff.

In the part 1 on these article series, we take a look at these three DVD releases. Stay tuned for more.

And don't forget to read The Alien Time Machine review.

The Alien Time Machine: Encounters From Another Dimension

USA 2010

The idea of documentary about "a time machine built using alien technology" sounds either ultimately stupid or ultimately interesting. For me, it was the latter. I was expecting  the far-out scenes with high entertainment value, but unluckily the realisation of this documentary is only for the hard-core UFO enthuasists.

The Alien Time Machine basically shows Karen Frandsen (of the Eerie Investigations group) interviewing author Terry Le Riche Walters, who tells throughoutly about his abduction and other experiences with aliens from constellation Orion. You should be very interested of the subject, since the presentation is dull – interview is done with one camera on tripod. The cutscenes of photographs, CGI animations and other footage won't help too much.

Extraordinary Movie & Video Guide has been converted to content management system. Everything isn't quite finished (missing pictures and information), so that's why the logo says "beta" at this time. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Meanwhile, take a look at reviews of these fine films:
